Abstract

Access to information is a fundamental right of every learner, with or without disabilities and/or special educational needs.  [Ed 11291] European societies increasingly rely on information and communication technology to communicate and to share information.  Information should be provided such that every person has the opportunity of participating in learning opportunities on an equal basis.  Providing information in an accessible way is therefore a concern across Europe as it affects multiple work processes within educational organisations in all sectors of lifelong learning.

This article presents the main findings from the Accessible Information Provision for Lifelong Learning (i-access) project that involved over 70 experts from 21 European countries and representatives of international and European organisations (UNESCO, G3ict, the International Association of Universities, and European Schoolnet).  The guiding principles and recommendations presented in this article are considered to be important to the future development of policy and practice for lifelong learning at national and organisational levels.

這計劃的參加者來自歐洲21個國家,超過70名專家和世界各國與歐洲機構代表(包括UNESCO, G3ict, the International Association of Universities, and European Schoolnet)。
